  5.Fire-fighting measures

  5.1 Extinguishing media

  Suitable extinguishing media

Fires involving this compound should be controlled using a dry chemical, carbon dioxide or Halon extinguisher.

5.2 Specific hazards arising from the chemical

Flash point data for this chemical are not available but it is probably combustible.

5.3 Special protective actions for fire-fighters

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus for firefighting if necessary.

  6.Accidental release measures

6.1 Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

to safe areas. Avoid breathing dust. For personal protection see section 8.

  6.2 Environmental precautions

Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Do not let product enter drains. Discharge into the environment must be avoided.

6.3 Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up

Should a spill occur while you are handling this chemical, you should dampen the solid spill material with acetone, then transfer the dampened

material to a suitable container. Use absorbent paper dampened with acetone to pick up any remaining material. Seal the absorbent paper, and any

of your clothes, which may be contaminated, in a vapor tight plastic bag for eventual disposal. solvent wash all contaminated surfaces with acetone

followed by washing with a strong soap and water solution. Do not reenter the contaminated area until the safety officer (or other responsible

person) has verified that the area has been properly cleaned

  7.Handling and storage
